Brick and Mortar is what they called an physical shop e.g retail shop just like the old days. The business offer a personal face to face shopping experience. This is a significant key in boosting sales, since nobody can deny what a good customer service will bring to their business. 

Moreover, this type of shop usually does not cater to any digital way of shopping: such as website, online shop, mobile app, e-commerce payment system. 


People want to be able to shop conveniently, so they want options in terms of the atmosphere of the shop, the product or service provided in the shop, the way they shop, the payment methods. 

Therefore, based on target market, some business want to keep the friendly family old-fashion retro look as their niche. Some business feel the need reach out and keep up with the people preference which seems to be moving towards into digital business.
