FACEBOOK ADS
With Facebook Ads Manager, you could set a daily or total budget for advertising, for example Daily $5 or $5,000. Budget plays an important role to ensure the long-term profitability of the ads to the business. You place an ad on Facebook by creating the ad and submitting it to Facebook Ad Auction.
How Facebook Ad Auction Works?
There are three options of cost control on Facebook Ad Auction: target cost, cost cap and bid cap. Facebook explains that A cost control using target cost bid strategy, is an amount we try to stay close to even if there are lower-cost optimization events available. A cost control using cost cap bid strategy is an average amount we try to stay under while still getting you the lowest-cost optimization events first. We only go after more expensive optimization events that are closer to your cost control when we've exhausted all the cheaper ones. Bid controls using bid cap bid strategy are less flexible, which means they're more likely to constrain delivery than cost cap. Bid controls limit what we can bid in every auction.
